Elvish Moon Engagement Ring

In the heart of Takayas’ studio, where dreams become reality, Takayas crafted Nicholas’ engagement ring for his partner Melanie. It all began when Nicholas reached out to us with a touching commission request that left us swooning. Not only did he request a ring imbued with elvish aesthetics inspired by Dungeons and Dragons and the Lord of the Rings, he also requested that the ring illustrate the crescent moon and moon cycles. And so, with Nicholas’ loving description of Melanie as “a beautiful elvish fairy whose soul is born from the moon,” swirling in his mind, Takayas set off to create a ring that would serve as the embodiment of Nicholas’ profound love. With Nicholas’ blessing to use his creativity without bounds, Takayas created a ring that incorporated an organic sinuous vine-like design nodding to magical worlds intertwined with the moon phases. The ring boasts a scintillating round-brilliant diamond that Nicholas selected for the luminous platinum ring. As a man of strong convictions, Nicholas requested an ethically sourced center stone to serve as a symbol of the strength of the couple’s everlasting love. Radiating from the sides of the magnificent gem is an interlocking design featuring Takayas’ interpretation of the moon phases intertwined with an elvish bow inspired by Melanie’s favorite elf tech art. As the backbone of the design, the bow that sits under the moon phases evokes the elvish script from inspiration images Nicholas thoughtfully provided. Takayas' hallmark of meticulous detail is illustrated by the arrow-like prongs that are an extension of the elf's bow holding the diamond. Just like Melanie, the ring is beautiful inside and out. Takayas’ interpretation of Arwen Everstar's necklace is concealed underneath the glowing center stone. The design dances from the under gallery to the sides of the inside of the band. As a final triumphant adornment, the ring boasts diamonds on the side gallery like stars twinkling in the small hours of the night.

We were delighted to hear of Nicholas and Melanie’s official engagement when they reached out to us for their wedding bands. We’d like to thank the couple for letting us be a part of this magical time in their lives. May the ring symbolize not only the crescent moon but also the ever-growing phases of Nicholas and Melanie’s marriage!
